The widescreen (16:9) aspect LCD panel has a number of key picture technologies that combine to give you a clear, sharp and lifelike image.

Active Light Control is circuitry which automatically detects the brightness levels of the input signal and adjusts the backlight accordingly in real-time. The screen provides maximum brightness that's up to 1.2 times greater than that of conventional systems, while it's minimum brightness during dark scenes is about one half of conventional levels. The result is a greatly expanded dynamic range from black to white peak, with crisp, natural pictures that assure dynamic viewing.

Active System Control dynamically adjusts the video signal according to the image contrast. Working in tandem with Active Light Control, it adds greater brightness to bright scenes and brings more depth to dark ones.

With Progressive Cinema Scan still images processing is used to achieve clear, smooth flowing images with a level of detail that closely approaches the original film.

Super DSC (Dynamic Sharpness Control) analyses the entire image, minimising picture noise in areas of low detail (such as a cloudless sky), while enhancing areas that have greater detail.

The Digital 3D Y/C Comb Filter accurately separates the colour information from the black and white information and removes dot crawl and hanging dots both centrally and vertically.

Panasonic LCD Display screens have left and right speakers, which are completely enclosed along with a built-in bass-reflex woofer. This configuration gives high quality stereo sound with great depth and power.
